Innovative Technical Diving
We are a training facility located in Deerfield Beach, Florida, specializing in underwater training for divers of all levels. Our passion for the underwater world began over 30 years ago, and we particularly enjoy exploring deep wrecks and engaging in technical diving in Florida. By offering comprehensive rebreather courses and focusing on safe, efficient training, we aim to spread our knowledge and enthusiasm for the underwater environment.
Robert Johnson
Robert, our president and CEO of Innovative Technical Diving, is a rEvo and O2ptima rebreather instructor, as well as an open circuit trimix instructor specializing in technical diving in Florida. With over 30 years of diving experience, he became certified at the age of 13 and developed a keen interest in rebreathers when he was 18. At 19, he built and dove his first rebreather and continues to innovate with variations of his home-built rebreather.
For over 20 years, Robert has been a dedicated dive instructor, offering rebreather courses and emphasizing the importance of safety and comfort in underwater training for all his students.
John Entwistle
John is certified as a 100 meter Trimix rEvo rebreather diver and has completed several rebreather courses. He also holds Divemaster, Normox, and Trimix Diver Supervisor certifications. Additionally, John is a certified KISS rebreather diver, cavern diver, and amateur underwater photographer.
John has embarked on numerous dive adventures, exploring spectacular locations such as Truk Lagoon, Bikini Island, Socorro, the Red Sea, Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, Cayman Brac, the Galapagos Islands, the Bahamas, and Cozumel. His diving experiences also include the Cenotes in Mexico’s Playa del Carmen area and various sites in the Florida Keys, making him well-versed in technical diving Florida.
John began his underwater training by obtaining his Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications through Broward College.
